For this project, I led the creative direction, illustration, and storyboarding for an animated interview centered on a deeply personal story.
The challenge was creating visuals that helped guide the viewer without overwhelming the subject’s voice.

The visual framework was designed to move quietly alongside the narrative, using pacing, typography, and illustration to reinforce key moments while maintaining respect for the emotional weight of the story.

Working with sensitive subject matter required careful decisions about how playful and how somber the motion should be. Tone was prioritized over visual complexity.

For longer-form storytelling, I led creative direction and storyboarding for an animated mini-documentary. The work focused on pacing and visual continuity, helping carry the narrative from scene to scene without pulling focus from the story itself.

On this interview-led pieces, I collaborated on storyboarding and on-screen graphics, working closely with editors and producers.

The goal was to let the story breathe while giving viewers visual anchors, creating a piece that felt compassionate, clear, and human first.

Lead in the water

For the ABC News investigation into lead contamination in American drinking water, I helped translate dense reporting into clear, accessible visuals. The story required graphics that could simplify data, geography, and policy without losing urgency or accuracy. My role included creative direction and storyboarding for motion elements that guided viewers through complex information turning statistics into visuals people could quickly understand and connect with.

For this &scape youtube series I utilized motion template systems to allow the individual segments to have their own identity, while maintaining the evergreen look and feel of the show. I incorporated animated illustrations here and there to elevate the type.
